SECP is planning major reforms in the insurance regulatory framework

Security and Exchange Commission (SECP) of Pakistan is planning reforms in Insurance Regulatory Framework of Pakistan Insurance sector. According to a press release issued on Nov 1, 2016, SCEP conducted a roundtable on the proposed reforms. This was the 3rd roundtable held in Lahore. The proposed changes in the framework are aimed at strengthening the financial soundness of insurance companies and also protecting the rights of the policyholders.
